I've worn these shoes almost exclusively since I got them. I can't remember another pair of shoes that fit & pleased me as much.

A Fair Shoe -
Be sure to replace the very thin insole that's inside the shoe and replace it with a better one from any department store display. Then the shoe will be more comfortable. The shoe doesn't have much "flexibility", so I say it's just a fair shoe.

Nursing shoes for men -
The fit and feel of these New Balance shoes cannot be surpassed. Usually I get back pain with other walking shoes but not with these puppies. I love that fact that they are made in the U.S. The only complaint I have about these shoes is that they look like nursing shoes and are not manly looking. I have no problem with this as I rate comfort over looks.

Best Shoe - Over the past few years, I have tried several brands of men's shoes and spent hundreds of dollars looking for a good looking and comfortable shoe. The New Balance 811 Walking Shoe serves my feet and a variety of settings, the best.

These shoes have been a real life savor for me. I can walk without my feet slapping on the ground. They are nice looking. I can wear them for dress.

These are fantastic shoes. They fit perfectly and there was no break-in time out of the box. Putting them on for the first time felt like I had owned them for a year. They look good, they feel good, and they perform well.

This shoe is one of my more successful attempts at finding a comfortable, decent looking, sturdy, non-leather shoe. I use orthotics and the insole was easy to remove and replace with the orthotic. The shoe looks like it will wear well, unlike some others. I believe it will make a pretty good work shoe, although it is a little too hot. The down side of a non-breathing material I guess.

This shoe is a wonderful fit. My husband has this shoe in black and white. If you have a wide foot this is the shoe for you. This shoe is hard to fine in EEEE width.

I bought this to help with plantar fasciitis -
The shoe is VERY comfortable, light weight, and reasonably attractive. I'm not sure it's helping with my plantar fasciitis, though perhaps it’s too soon to tell. I definitely recommend the shoe in general however.

I like this shoe - My intent in buying this shoe was to help me to travel light. I want to be able to take only one pair of shoes when I travel. I would like a shoe that is comfortable and provides support for a lot of walking during the day and also look decent enough to wear to a nice dinner. This shoe does the job.

I have problems with my left foot due to back issues and this series of shoe is extremely comfortable and lightweight. If I wear a heavier shoe, my foot overcompensates and my limp is more pronounced.

Great for work -
I bought these because I work retail and my old shoes were wearing out. I would regularly go home with foot and leg pain from being on my feet standing still for 8 hours straight. These are great and comfortable, very comfortable, look good for a work shoe. Only catch is they don't grip very well at first. When I first put them on, I was slipping even on my driveway, but after a few hours of the sole breaking in, they were just like any other shoe. Excellent product.

I am very happy with my new shoes; they are very comfortable and heavy duty. Since I use them for work and I work in a Kitchen. They are also slip resistant and good water resistant shoe. The service from Zappos was terrific; I don't think I'll be shopping for shoes anywhere else in the future.

Comfortable shoe. Just a little tight around the large toe. I bought them to my exact size. A half size larger would be too big.

When I ordered these shoes, I ordered just regular shipping. Received an email notifying me they were upgrading my shipping to next day at no charge. I thought this was pretty awesome since this was the 1st time I ordered from Zappos.

New Balance Walking Shoe (6E Width)
I have been wearing this particular shoe for years. It is extremely comfortable, lightweight, and available in a 6E width. It is great for walking and can also be worn in the evening with dressy clothing. It is available in 3 colors, and the price is very reasonable--a best buy!

These shoes are very, very comfortable. I use them for exercising and feel a lot of support. I also use them to walk outside and they are great. The only reason I gave them three stars for looks is that I've never seen a "beautiful" pair of work-out shoes.

From Rockports to New Balance -
I've been buying Rockport shoes exclusively for over 20 years and was very satisfied.
Recently I could not find what I wanted in Rockports, so I took a chance and ordered a pair of New Balance shoes for the first time ever. I'll admit I was very pessimistic, thinking I'd only be happy with Rockports, but much to my surprise I am really satisfied with my new shoes from New Balance!
They look great, very comfortable, and actually fit a little better than the Rockports did. My size of 14 "EE" is sometimes difficult to find, but Zappos had them in stock, and they were delivered in two days!
I highly recommend New Balance shoes, and if you're reading this, you probably already know how great Zappos is!

Plantar Fasciitis -
I have had plantar fasciitis for several years. Tried several types of inserts with no pain relief. One internet search provided a national podiatry organization that listed several shoes that were suggested for relief. The New Balance 811 was the first shoe I tried. It is the only thing that I have found to relieve the pain so I am on my third pair. Thank you Zappos for having the shoe in stock and your great service.

Fits hard-to-fit feet!
